Let's see... I'm in my mid 20's, I currently reside in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.
I've been into graphics, art and the internet since I was about 15.
I attended college at Heinze Technical Institute and New Media Campus from
early 2004 to mid 2006,
graduating with full honors from various Digital Media, Web Programming and Animation classes..
However I had prior abilities and knowledge in these subjects from
spending
my entire life immersed
in computers and the arts.
In other words.. I know HTML, PHP and Photoshop like the back of my
hand
among other things..
Exactly what software and web languages do I know?.. Well, here's a list.
Adobe Photoshop (All Versions), Adobe Illustrator (All Versions)
Corel Draw (Version 7 to X3),
Adobe Flash (Version 5 to CS3)
Adobe Dreamweaver (Version MX2004 to CS3),
Autodesk Maya (Version 5 to 8)
Autodesk Softimage XSI (Version 6 only currently)
Adobe Premiere (All Versions), Adobe AfterEffects (All Versions)
Pretty much every FTP program in use today, extensive experience
with all web server types
Advanced knowledge of all versions of Microsoft Windows
Working knowledge of Mac OS/X
Extensive knowledge and skill with HTML, PHP, Cold Fusion, Javascript, Actionscript aswell
as several other web and non-web programming languages.. Various other assorted software..
In addition to all that, I'm a quick learner.. So anything I don't know, I can pick up quickly as the
situation requires it..
What experience do I have?
While still in college I created two web games for Arcadetown.com titled
RoBoxer 2, which they
approached me about creating after seeing the original RoBoxer which I had made for a Flash
programming class assignment..
And the other, Metal Wrath, was a personal project that
evolved into something rather complex and worth them taking notice of.
After college I got a job in the graphics and production department of AdMax
a local screenprinting
and decal company, I stayed there for 4 months
then moved on to work at Redi-Medic...
Another local, but much larger company.
I ended up working in their graphics/pre-press and web
departments, as well as helped generally keep their various computer equipment running and up
to speed which lasted for about 2 years from late 2006 to late 2008.
I've now decided to go into business for myself, after experience with the industry, I've realized I
much prefer the freedom afforded to me by going with
the rather aptly name freelance route.
I don't know about you, but I think it'd be a good move to put my broad experience and skills
to work for yourself... If I may say so.
